I'm a second year student at U of T in St. Michael's College studying Architecture, Visual Art Studio, and Art History. I never intended on going into the Intercordia Program but ended up in a meeting somehow and it spoke to me like nothing else had. I knew it was something I needed to do and I'm really excited to be spending May, June, July, and a little bit of August 2009 in Estili, Nicaragua volunteering at Funarte! Fundraising

Hello All,
Fundraising is so much more fun then I ever thought possible. Caroling outside at Bay and Bloor for hours on end may not seem so appealing to most but I just can't get enough! As freezing as it may be, the bonding among Intercordians is great and the Christmas cheer on the faces of the people walking by is just so rewarding. The last time we went out we made sixty dollars each! We must not be that bad! :P

I've also hosted a fundraiser at my place, charging twenty at the door for a night filled with laughs, hugs and an open bar. It went extremely well making $450.00 to go straight into my Nicaragua fund! Some of my beautiful supporters!

Christmas is such a profound time. Everyone is so generous and welcoming of company and happiness. I know that its pretty corny to write in a post, but it does truly amaze me how wonderful people can be!

Have an peaceful Christmas and I will be sure to report in in the New Year!
